Session Description
Grief can be described as the change you didn’t want. Grief isn’t just death. Grief can be a life transition such as the end of relationship, a divorce, a career move, a layoff, a company reorganization, loss of expectations, code switching...
As we go into something uncomfortable, or become activated when something happens, this change can get trapped and stuck in our bodies causing us to be in constant flight, fight, freeze state and house unwanted tensions and sensations.
Instead of ignoring or avoiding them, this session invites you to lean into them by giving them space and the attention they need to be processed and released through movement, breath, and sound. Adrienne will help you to connect back to your body.
We will focus on the cycles of transformation by tapping into the 3 resources of self regulation:
- Foundation (grounding)
- Centering
- Breath
We will get curious about the resources that can support us and tap into resources that can regulate the nervous system to support us while going through these sensations.
