Dr Ana Paula Nacif is an experienced executive and group coach, facilitator and consultant who works with individuals and organisationsin the areas of wellbeing, inclusion and leadership. She has nearly 20 years of coaching experience within the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors. She is an academic and active researcher in group coaching and wellbeing. She is also the co-editor of the Philosophy of Coaching: an International Journal. Her latest book, Coaching for wellbeing: a guide for practitioners, is based on her group coaching research and it brings together theory, research and practice, giving practitioners the knowledge and tools to support their clients' wellbeing in a range of settings.

The strength and quality of the coaching alliance is one of key factors in successful outcomes in coaching. This session will address how coaches can use relational presence to deepen the connection among the group. It will also discuss the complex role of the coach in navigating the boundaries of the group, whilst being at the same time part of the dynamics of group and an outsider.Ā
